"...A red horse went out; and to [she] who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to [her]."
All her life, Theia has waited to become Queen of Kokina. Her education focused solely on her future role as Queen and it is all her heart desires, too. But, at the age of twenty when that time finally comes, she discovers the crown will only be passed to her if she takes a husband. Now, Theia no longer wants to be Queen. Instead, she would prefer to sit on the King’s throne and rule her Dominion on her own.
Zodiac Sign: Taurus. Horse: Aima, rust red. Weapon: Broadsword (Tulemook) |
She is practical, almost stoic; ambitious, diligent, and tenacious; genuine, honest, dependable. At times, she can be stubborn, plodding, and aggressive when upset.
She is a social Princess with many fond friends, but only a few close confidants. Her attendants, Lavra and Serafina, know almost everything about her, as does her Champion, Otis, who has guarded her day and night since she was nine years old and he was fourteen. |
Theia possesses a rare and dangerous power... When she was young, she had 'episodes' in which her power would become too much to contain and she would be taken over by it. This resulted in many fires within the castle and outside in the fields, wherever the Princess happened to be at the time. Her parents did a good job of forcing her to ignore it and pretending it didn't exist, but Theia knew she had to work to control and hone her power. So she did, in private, and by the time she was thirteen, she stopped having these episodes all together. A few weeks before her twentieth birthday, Theia experienced her first episode in years while her attendant, Lavra, had a prophetic nightmare down the hall. With the resurgence of this power, the Princess must re-learn to control and harness the fire within her as she also fights to keep the world itself from going up in flames.
Lavra
She has been Theia's attendant for about four years and still has some fear toward the Princess, though she is warming up. She is some years younger than Theia and an orphan kelpie girl who was found in the Fair Forest. Before they could dispose of her in the barbaric way they usually did with children like Lavra, Theia stopped them and claimed the girl as her new attendant, saving her life and promising her protection indefinitely.

Serafina
Serafina is a bit older and she has been the Princess' attendant since Theia was born. Her mother is Vessika, Queen Leigh's attendant. Serafina's family has been part of the royal Kokinan family for many centuries and they are well revered for servants in Omadon. She has never known or wanted of anything except to ensure the Princess was safe and well and gorgeous at all times.

Alazon
|
Theia's younger brother. He is twelve years old and is far too heavily influenced by all of the men in his life. Luckily, he has a fairly close relationship with his older sister to keep him in line... Until she is gone and he is left without her guidance. The little Prince's level of maturity is low, causing him to appear and behave much younger than he actually is. People often forget that he is nearly thirteen, and will soon begin formal training to become King of some smaller, neighboring Dominion someday. He loves his sister, but is quite bitter that he will never be King of the great Dominion of Kokina... Unless...?

Queen Leigh and King Vern
Theia's parents were once a very powerful duo, and very much in love. But recently, with the Queen's declining health, they have become distant--from each other and from their Kingdom. Each of them carries the burdens of their own dark and devastating secrets while silently plotting against each other, using their children, and the world of Omadon itself, as pawns for play.
